If you run more than one tank, your net is the most likely route for disease to travel between them. A net used in a tank carrying white spot, a bacterial problem or nuisance algae goes back in the drawer damp and then straight into your next aquarium. Blue Planet Net Sanitizer exists to break that chain.
It removes most disease causing organisms on contact, so a net that has been through a sanitising soak is not carrying parasites, bacteria or algae spores into the next tank. It works on more than nets too: scrapers, sponges and algae magnets all move between tanks and all carry the same risk.
The method is simple. Fill a bucket with water, add the sanitizer at the rate given on the pack, and work your net through the solution. Change the solution when it turns cloudy, or refresh it every few days if you are using it regularly. As a bonus, it helps keep net mesh soft, which means less abrasion on fish when you do have to catch one.
