Description
Gotcha day. One year since a very small, very unsure dog came home with you, and you would like a photo that is not taken on the kitchen floor at eleven at night. Honey Meadow is made for that morning: butter yellow and white stripes with embroidered bees, honey pots and wildflowers, cheerful without tipping into novelty, and it looks like a birthday rather than a holiday.
It has the same virtue for a first birthday, a puppy's first proper summer, or the photo you take when the vet finally signs off on the last vaccination and the world opens up. Bright, warm and entirely unseasonal, which means it earns its money for more than four weeks of the year.
Classic size
- Classic cut, 10cm x 7cm
- The Sailor version of Honey Meadow is 13cm x 11cm, a much larger bow for a bigger dog
Classic is the neater shape and the right one for a small or young dog. A puppy has a small frame and a thin neck, and a large bow on a small dog stops looking smart and starts looking like a prop. Ten by seven sits in proportion.
How it attaches
It wraps around the collar or a harness strap and fastens with velcro on the reverse. It does not slide on, which is better than it sounds: there is no collar to unbuckle, nothing to thread through, and no compatibility question. It fits any collar or harness you already own, at any width, and goes on with the collar still on the dog. For a puppy who has not yet made peace with being handled around the neck, that difference is not trivial.

- Bow tie only
Plainly put
A bow tie is for styling, not for leaving on an unsupervised dog, and a puppy who chews everything is exactly the dog you take it off. The velcro means that takes about two seconds, which is the whole reason the design works the way it does.
If the puppy is still growing through collar sizes, the adjustable options in the Cocopup collar range are worth a look, and the bow will happily sit on any of them.
