Description
If you are going to put the dog in the Christmas card, the lead is in the shot whether you planned it or not. Ralphie Reindeer is a snowy white lead covered in small rosy cheeked reindeer, and on camera it reads as festive from across a room while still being a lead you can walk with all December.
It also solves the awkward gift. Anyone who owns a dog already owns a lead, which is exactly why a good looking seasonal one lands well: it is a treat rather than a replacement, and nobody has to measure anything for it to fit. It clips onto the collar or harness they already use.
The measurements
The Cocopup London standard lead is 152cm long and 2cm wide. That is a full length walking lead, with enough line for a small dog to wander to the edge of the path without you losing a comfortable grip.
Specification
- 152cm long and 2cm wide
- Padded neoprene handle
- Black swivel clip, so the lead unwinds rather than kinking
- D-ring at the base of the handle for a poop bag holder
- White base with a repeating reindeer print
The limitation, stated up front
Cocopup London describes this as not a heavy duty lead, made for smaller breeds and lighter use rather than for sustained pulling. That is worth reading twice if your dog is large and enthusiastic. For a small or medium dog on an ordinary walk it is exactly right, and for anything stronger you want a lead built for the job with this one kept for photographs.
Washing
A white lead and a wet park are a known combination, so wash it at 30 degrees in a wash bag, which protects both the print and your machine from the clip, then hang it to dry.
Ralphie runs across the Christmas range, so the reindeer harness is the obvious partner for a matching set, and a poop bag holder clips onto the handle D-ring. Browse the rest of the leads for other prints.
