Description
Every December there is one photo you actually want: the dog, the tree, and something on the lead that is not plain black nylon. Woofmas Pudding is a cranberry red lead scattered with little Christmas puddings, and it is the least effortful way to make a month of cold walks look like you meant them to look that way.
It is also an easy gift to get right. A lead is one of the few presents for a dog owner that does not depend on knowing a weight, a neck measurement or a favourite flavour. It clips onto whatever collar or harness they already own and it works the day it comes out of the wrapping.
The measurements
The Cocopup London standard lead is 152cm long and 2cm wide. That is a full length walking lead, long enough to let a small dog drift off to sniff a fence post without you having to feed out a handful of slack every time.
Specification
- 152cm long and 2cm wide
- Padded neoprene handle
- Swivel clip, so the lead untwists itself as the dog circles
- D-ring at the base of the handle for a poop bag holder
- Cranberry base with a repeating Christmas pudding print
How strong is it, honestly
Cocopup London states plainly that this is not a heavy duty lead. It is built for smaller breeds and lighter use, not for a large dog who leans into the lead for the length of the walk. If yours is a puller, buy this one for the photos and the gentle strolls and keep a heavy duty lead for the daily hauling. Better to know that now than after the first walk.
Washing
Wash it at 30 degrees inside a wash bag, which keeps the metal clip from knocking around the drum, then hang it to dry rather than tumble drying it.
Woofmas Pudding runs across the festive range, so the matching harness makes an obvious pair, and the handle D-ring is there precisely so a poop bag holder can ride along. More options sit in the full dog lead collection.
