Description
There is something quietly funny about a velvet poop bag holder, and that is precisely the appeal. The least glamorous job on a dog walk gets handled by the nicest looking thing hanging off your lead. Deep forest green with a soft pile that shifts in the light, it looks like a small evening bag and behaves like a piece of walking kit.
What most people do not realise until it arrives is that it zips open, which turns it into a pouch. Keys fit. So does a card. That single detail means you can walk out with no bag and no pockets whatsoever, everything clipped to the lead, which is the real reason these get bought a second time as gifts.

Where it clips on
The standard Cocopup lead has a D-ring at the base of the handle designed specifically to carry a poop bag holder, so it hangs above your hand rather than swinging into the dog. It clips just as easily to a walking bag strap D-ring, a belt loop or a keyring if you would rather it lived somewhere else.
Will velvet cope with actual dog walks?
Honest answer: it is the least rugged finish in the range, so if your walks involve wading through blackberry and river mud every day, a plain fabric holder will look better for longer. For ordinary footpath and park walking it is perfectly durable. Treat it like a nice bag, wipe rather than scrub, and keep it out of the tumble dryer.
Bags it takes
Any standard roll of dog waste bags feeds through. There is no cartridge and no refill system, so whatever you already buy will work.
Velvet pairs well with itself, so the matching forest green bag strap is the obvious partner, and it was built for the handle D-ring on a Cocopup lead. Browse other finishes in the poop bag holder collection.
