Description
Spring wedding, held outside, probably in somebody's parents' garden. Long grass, a marquee, everyone squinting. This is the print for that afternoon: butter yellow and white stripes with embroidered bees, honey pots and wildflowers, which is to say it belongs in the setting rather than fighting it. A dark formal bow looks out of place on a lawn in September. This one looks like it grew there.
It also does something useful with light. Pale yellow bounces rather than absorbs, so on a bright day the bow stays visible against a dark dog instead of disappearing into shadow under the chin, which is the usual fate of a navy or black bow in harsh outdoor sun.
Sailor size
This is the Sailor cut, measuring 13cm x 11cm. That is the larger of the two Cocopup London shapes, next to 10cm x 7cm for the Classic, and the extra width is what lets the embroidered detail read from a few metres away rather than only in a close up. It suits a medium or large dog and anyone who wants the bow to be a visible part of the outfit. For a small dog, the Classic Honey Meadow is the better proportion.
It wraps on, it does not thread on
The bow wraps around your dog's collar or a harness strap and closes with velcro on the reverse. This is not a slide-on bow, and that is the advantage rather than a compromise. There is no unbuckling and no threading, it works on any collar or harness you already own regardless of width, and it takes about three seconds each way. Handy at an outdoor event where the dog is on and off the lead all afternoon.

A fair warning
Pale fabric and a dog in long grass are not natural allies, and a bow tie is a styling accessory rather than something to leave on all day unsupervised. Put it on for the ceremony and the photos and take it off for the running around. Two seconds, thanks to the velcro.
It sits on whatever your dog already wears, though a neutral base does the print more favours, so it is worth a look through the Cocopup collars, or the harness range if your dog is a harness walker.
