Pyohex Medicated Conditioner is designed to follow on from a wash with a chlorhexidine-based medicated shampoo, such as Dermcare's own Pyohex Medicated Shampoo or Malaseb Medicated Shampoo, extending the time the active ingredient stays working on your dog's skin between baths.
Its active ingredient, chlorhexidine gluconate, has broad spectrum antibacterial activity against many of the bacteria commonly involved in superficial bacterial dermatitis (skin infections), making this conditioner a useful step in a vet-guided skin care routine rather than a standalone treatment.
