Description
A tropical community tank of tetras, barbs, rasboras, danios and gouramis runs on one reliable staple, and Feedwell Tropical Fish Flakes Bulk Buy is that staple in 1kg and 5kg bags for keepers feeding a large aquarium or several tanks at once.
Flake works well for community fish because most of them feed in the middle of the water column. Flakes sit on the surface for a moment and then sink slowly, which gives the surface feeders and the midwater fish a fair go at the same pinch before anything reaches the gravel. The formula is balanced as a complete everyday diet, supporting condition, colour and vitality rather than acting as an occasional supplement.
Feed once or twice a day, only as much as your fish finish within a couple of minutes, and siphon or net out leftovers. Uneaten flake breaks down into ammonia, which is toxic, and in a warm tropical tank that happens quickly. Bulk bags are worth decanting into a sealed container so the flake you are not using stays dry and fresh.
