Description
Small tropical fish such as tetras, rasboras, danios and young community stock are constantly outmatched at feeding time by food that is simply too big for them. Hikari Micro Pellets are sized for those small mouths, with a highly digestible nutritional profile that does not thin out just because the pellet is tiny.
Pellet size is a practical problem in a community tank. A fish that cannot swallow a piece of food will mouth it, spit it out and leave it to break down, which means you are feeding the ammonia cycle rather than the fish. A pellet a small fish can take whole is eaten cleanly, so less goes to waste and you can judge the amount going in far more accurately than with flake.
Feed one or two small pinches a day, only what disappears within a couple of minutes. Micro pellets are dense, so a very small amount goes a long way and it is easy to overfeed a nano or small community tank without realising.
- Formulated for small mouthed fish species
- Highly digestible nutritional profile
- Small pellet size reduces waste and spitting
- Suits nano tanks and small community setups
- Available in 22g and 45g
Larger tropicals will need a standard pellet, and bottom feeders a sinking wafer, both in our other aquarium foods.
