Description
Vibra Bites are a tropical fish food built around movement. Each piece is a slim worm shaped stick that drifts and wriggles as the current catches it, so it behaves in the water the way a live bloodworm does. Tropical community fish read that movement as prey and strike at it, which makes this a genuinely useful food for fussy eaters and newly introduced fish that have not yet settled into taking flakes.
The appeal is the live food response without the live food problem. Real bloodworms can carry parasites and bacteria straight into a tank; Vibra Bites give the same behaviour with none of that risk. Mealworms and other selected ingredients carry the flavour, and Hikari's feeding trials found most tropical fish go for it immediately. A blended nutrient mix works on colour over time, so reds and oranges in tetras, barbs and rainbowfish deepen with regular feeding.
Because the sticks sink slowly they feed the middle of the tank well and drift down far enough for bottom dwellers. Offer only what the tank clears in a couple of minutes, once or twice a day, as part of a varied diet. Uneaten sticks decay and push ammonia up.
