The MiniJumbuk Ortho Sanctuary is an orthopaedic dog bed built for senior dogs and dogs with joint pain, arthritis or hip dysplasia. At the centre is an Australian orthopaedic foam base - the feature that makes the difference for an older dog. A soft unsupported bed lets a heavy dog sink through to the floor, so hips, elbows and shoulders carry load all night against a hard surface. The orthopaedic foam holds the dog at a consistent level and distributes that pressure instead. Made in Naracoorte, South Australia, with a 2 year warranty.

How to Choose Your Size
Measure your dog nose to base of tail while lying stretched out and add 15-20cm. Compare that against the sleep zone - the flat supported area inside the low bolster. The rim on this style is lower profile than a donut bed, so it takes less from the overall footprint, but it still matters. A dog that sprawls fully on its side needs the complete sleep zone length. Between sizes, choose the Extra Large, particularly for a dog that shifts position often through the night due to joint discomfort - more room to move means less waking.
Wool Over Orthopaedic Foam - Why Both Matter
The foam base is what keeps a senior dog off the floor. The wool pillow top is what keeps them comfortable on top of it. An older dog often loses the ability to regulate its own temperature well, which means a pure polyester pillow top - one that only traps heat - can leave them overheating and restless. The wool blend regulates in both directions, holding warmth on a cold night and releasing excess heat, and it draws moisture away from the coat which helps with hygiene for dogs that are less mobile.
