Description
Some dogs do not need a richer diet, they need a lighter one. If your dog is carrying a bit more weight than the vet would like, or simply finds fattier foods hard going, Prime100 SPD Slow Cooked Turkey & Flaxseed is the leaner choice in the slow cooked range. It is a single protein diet made with Australian turkey, suitable for dogs of all ages, excluding large and giant breeds.
Turkey is a lean protein, and at 6% minimum crude fat and 100 ME kcal per 100g this is the lightest recipe in the group, which makes it useful for dogs on a controlled intake who still need proper protein for muscle condition. Flaxseed is the second half of the story. It contributes fibre and essential fatty acids, so the omega support comes from the recipe itself rather than a supplement you add later. Being a single protein diet, it also keeps the diagnostic thread intact: one named animal protein in the bowl means one variable to judge if something changes. Sweet potato and quinoa supply energy and vitamins, chicory root extract and Trumune postbiotics support the gut, and glucosamine and chondroitin look after joints and mobility.
Serve it as a complete and balanced meal, or use a portion as a lower fat topper over an existing diet. The moisture content suits dogs who are reluctant drinkers. Rolls are pantry stable until opened and then belong in the fridge. Change over across about a week.
