Description
Sera Holiday Tabs are feeder blocks for the week you are not there. Each tablet dissolves slowly in the aquarium and releases food gradually, so ornamental freshwater fish keep eating at a sensible rate across a short trip without anyone needing to visit the tank.
The alternatives are what make this worth having. Leaving a neighbour with a tub of flakes usually ends in overfeeding, because it is hard to explain by text how little a tank needs. An automatic feeder can jam or dump its hopper. Either way, food nobody eats sinks, decays and breaks down into ammonia, which is toxic, and you come home to cloudy water and a stressed tank. A slow dissolving tablet only releases food as it breaks down, keeping the amount closer to what the fish will take.
Use them for holidays and work trips, matching tablets to days as the pack directs. Do a water change and a proper feed the day before you leave, and test again when you get back.
- Slow release feeding tablets for holidays and short trips
- Gradual release reduces the risk of overfeeding while away
- Suits most ornamental freshwater fish
- Avoids the fouling that leftover flake food causes
- 10 tablets per pack
These are a stopgap for a short absence, not a substitute for a proper daily diet, and they are not intended for fry or for long trips. Stock up before you travel from all our fish food and aquarium supplies.
