Sera Pleco Chips are a daily staple food for Ancistrus, bristlenose and other plecos, built around the way these catfish actually eat. Supplied in a 92g pack.
A pleco does not chase and swallow food the way a tetra does. It clamps onto a surface and rasps, scraping material away slowly with a mouth designed to work over wood and rock. Food that dissolves on contact or gets snapped up mid water before it lands is no use to them, which is why so many plecos in community tanks quietly go hungry while the owner assumes the algae is enough. It usually is not, particularly in a clean, well lit tank with little algae left to graze. These chips sink to the bottom and stay firm enough for a pleco to rasp at over time, and the recipe is plant forward to match a largely herbivorous digestive system.

Offer one to two feeds a day, giving only what is cleared within a few minutes, and remove leftovers so they do not decay and push ammonia up. Plecos are often nocturnal, so feeding after lights out works well. This is bottom feeder food and will not suit surface feeding fish on its own.
