Description
Sera Vipan Tropical Flakes are the everyday staple food for a tropical community tank: guppies, platies, mollies, tetras, rasboras, barbs, danios and gouramis, in 22g, 60g and 210g.
Where a food sits in the water decides which of your fish actually get to eat. Flakes float when they first hit the surface and then sink slowly through the upper and middle of the tank, which is exactly the feeding zone most community fish occupy. Guppies and hatchetfish take them off the surface film, tetras and barbs pick them off as they drift down through mid water, and the pieces that make it further give your corydoras something too. That drift is why a flake is the right shape for a mixed community and why a fast sinking wafer is not.
Vipan is made without dyes or preservatives, and Sera's gentle manufacturing means the flakes hold together rather than crumbling into dust that clouds the tank and rots in the substrate. Feed once or twice daily, only what the fish finish in a couple of minutes. Overfeeding is the single most common cause of cloudy water and ammonia problems, because everything uneaten decays and feeds straight into the nitrogen cycle.
