Description
An older cat who used to jump to the windowsill and now sleeps on the rug all day is spending a lot more hours pressing the same hips and elbows into a hard floor. The Snooza Cat Memory Nest is aimed squarely at that cat. Memory foam softens where body heat and weight meet it and firms up everywhere else, so the load spreads across the whole body instead of concentrating on the two or three points taking the cat's weight. A fibre cushion flattens under a sleeping cat within minutes; foam keeps giving support for the whole nap.
Size guide
One size: 46cm x 35cm. Snooza sells this bed in a single size and publishes no weight or breed guidance, so we have not added any.
How to choose
With one size on offer, the question is whether your cat fits rather than which box to tick. Measure your cat nose to base of tail while they are lying stretched on their side: 46cm of length comfortably takes a typical adult domestic cat sleeping curled or loosely folded. A very large cat, a Maine Coon for example, or a cat who insists on lying fully extended, will overhang the ends. Two cats who sleep pressed together will not both fit on this one.
- Memory foam base that contours to your cat's body and holds its support
- Single size, 46cm x 35cm
- Polyester cover lifts off for a cold gentle machine wash at 20 to 30 degrees
- Smooth the cover out and line dry it, no tumble drying, bleaching or ironing
- The foam itself is spot clean only, so let it dry fully before the cover goes back on
- Made by Snooza, an Australian owned maker of more than 30 years
Worth knowing before you buy: the foam core is what makes this bed work and it is also what limits it, since it cannot go through the washing machine. If your cat is young, messy or still having accidents, a fully washable bed will serve you better. For a senior or arthritic cat who mostly sleeps in the same spot, the pressure relief is the point. You can see every cat bed and mat we stock side by side.
