Description
Chocolate is the sensible choice in this range and it is the one most owners of a beach dog, a bush walking dog or a dog with a talent for puddles end up taking. Dark brown absorbs the everyday reality of paws, drool and dropped hair so the bed still looks respectable in week three, not just on the day it arrives. It also sits comfortably against leather, dark timber and most rugs, which means the bed can stay in the living room rather than being shuffled out of sight when people come over.
- Short pile polyester faux fur in the deep Chocolate colourway
- Deep padded walls right around a soft sleeping base
- Cover unzips and goes in the machine, and the fill is washable and replaceable too
- Non slip base to keep it still on hard floors
- Warm machine wash with the cover removed, line dry or tumble dry on low
- No ironing, dry cleaning or bleaching, and air it in the sun between washes
The cuddler shape is the reason this bed sells rather than the colour. The wall runs unbroken around the edge, so a curled dog has something solid at their back and a raised lip to lay their head on. A dog sleeping with a supported head and a covered spine does not have to keep checking the room, and that is the practical mechanism behind a bed being described as calming. It is also a genuinely warm bed, which suits a thin coated dog through a cold snap.

The inner sleeping area figures and the breed guidance are the ones Snooza publishes for the Luxe Fur Cuddler and its general Cuddler size row, and they apply across all three colourways of this bed.
How to choose your size
The outer width is the number on the box, but the inner circle is the number that decides whether your dog fits, because the padded wall occupies the space in between. A Medium is 70cm across the outside and 45cm across the part your dog can actually lie on. Work out your dog's figure by measuring them nose to the base of the tail while they are lying down, then adding 15 to 20cm. If they sleep curled in a tight ball, match that total to the inner circle and it will be right. If they sleep loosely curled with a leg or a shoulder resting on the rim, buy the next size up so that spillover is on padding rather than on the floor. Anyone landing between two sizes should take the larger.
Two things this bed will not do. It is not a support bed, so a dog with arthritis or sore hips needs a foam base rather than a fill only cuddler. And it is soft furnishing, not hardware, so a dog who systematically destroys bedding will find the seams. For those dogs the orthopaedic and heavy duty options are the better spend.
