Description
Fluval Plant and Shrimp Stratum is a volcanic substrate that creates a natural underwater ecosystem for planted and shrimp aquariums, in 2kg and 4kg bags.
Harvested from the mineral rich foothills of Japan's Mount Aso Volcano, Stratum's porous granules encourage strong root development and rapid colonisation by beneficial nitrifying bacteria. The substrate helps maintain a neutral to slightly acidic pH ideal for most live plants, tropical fish and shrimp, and its porous structure gives newborn shrimp somewhere to hide from predators until they are large enough to hold their own.
