Description
Tetra TetraMin Flakes is the original staple flake for a tropical community aquarium, and for most people it is the first fish food they ever buy. It suits ornamental tropicals across the board: tetras, barbs, gouramis, rasboras and the rest of a mixed tank. Available in 20g, 52g and 200g.
A community tank is really three tanks stacked on top of each other. Some fish hang at the surface, some hold the middle, and some work the bottom, and a food that only serves one level leaves the others short. TetraMin is built around that. The flakes float when they land and then sink slowly, passing through the upper and middle water so fish at different depths each get their turn instead of the boldest surface feeders taking the lot. The formula covers the vitamins, minerals and trace elements a mixed tank needs, and includes prebiotics that support digestion so more of the food is absorbed and less passes through as waste into your water.
