Trilogy's freeze-dried treats start with New Zealand lamb and use freeze-drying rather than heat processing to lock in protein and natural flavour, resulting in a treat that is around 78% protein by weight. Because the meat is not cooked at high temperatures, more of its natural nutrients and aroma stay intact, which is part of why cats tend to respond strongly to it as a treat or a meal topper stirred through regular food.
The recipe leaves out grains, gluten, corn and soy, and there are no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours added, keeping the ingredient list close to just the meat itself.
